Teotihuacán
Teotihuacán is a Nahuatl word that means "Place where the gods were made; city of the gods" and was the name given to what was one of the largest cities in Mesoamerica during pre-Hispanic times. Nowadays it’s a large Mexican archaeological complex northeast of Mexico City. Through the centre of the place, which was once a flourishing pre-Columbian city, runs the Causeway of the Dead. This unites the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun. The last two have panoramic views from their summits.

Xochimilco
The famous canals of Xochimilco, the last remains of the extensive transportation system created by the Aztecs, are located in the south of Mexico City, next to a struggling working-class neighbourhood. Colourful gondolas take visitors on rides alongside boats of food vendors, artisans and mariachis. The atmosphere is festive, especially on weekends.
Chapultepec Castle
It is the architectural monument with the most history in our country. It has witnessed many of the most important moments in our history. It is the only royal castle on our continent. It was the home of the Spanish viceroys and Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg. Later it was also the Presidential House until 1940. It houses a wide collection of paintings, photographs, documents and objects that show us in a formidable way the passages of our history from before colonisation to the present day.
