Cempoala Archeological Site
The word Cēmpoalli comes from the Nahuas roots Cēmpoal which means "twenty", and ā (tl), which means "water", or "twenty waters", perhaps because that city had a large number of irrigation canals and aqueducts which provided the vital liquid to the numerous surrounding gardens and farmland. This place was inhabited mainly by Totonacas, Chinantecas, and Zapotecs.
